Drew McIntyre will be competing in the Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder match this Sunday at Money In The Bank.
The Scottish Psychopath is currently busy doing media rounds to promote the ongoing WWE European tour while also preparing for his upcoming PPV match.
While speaking to News 18, McIntyre pitched a blockbuster dream feud with fellow Monday Night RAW Superstar AJ Styles.
It is to be noted that Styles and McIntyre never had the opportunity to face each other in Impact Wrestling or on the independent circuit. Now that both men are under the same roof and on the same brand, the dream match could be just an inch away from finally happening.
“Absolutely! I have never had a match with AJ Styles. When I went to Impact Wrestling, he had just left. In the independent scene, we were trying to set up the match but that never quite happened. So, we just kept missing each other.”
Styles is currently locked in a title feud with reigning Universal Champion Seth Rollins. The ongoing feud could be a one-off affair if WWE chooses to give Rollins a new challenger post-Money In The Bank.
McIntyre is yet to win his first singles main roster title since his return to WWE in 2018.
“When I came back to RAW, he was on SmackDown. Now, we are finally on the same show. When I first started wrestling, like 18 years ago, it was guys like AJ, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Low Ki who were the new generation of wrestlers with different styles, trying to get the attention. I am very much looking forward to that (battle).”
McIntyre’s feud with Roman Reigns may have stalled given The Big Dog is now part of the SmackDown Live roster, although both men can appear on alternate brands under the Wild Card Rule.
