The rumor circles are always buzzing with the hottest gossips in the professional wrestling industry, and one such rumor about Edge was reported last night. Initially, Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Edge is close to making an in-ring return, and later, it was reported that Edge has been medically cleared for an in-ring return.

However, those rumors seem to be absolutely false as Edge straight-up denied the reports on his Twitter account. The former WWE Champion sent a tweet apparently in reference to the reports of his in-ring return, and wrote: “No I’m not and no I’m not”.

Edge retired from in-ring competition in 2011 and has stayed away from the professional wrestling industry due to recurring injuries. Edge turns 46 this year and spent more than a decade at the top.

The WON reported that WWE was discussing a possible return with Edge, which was the reason behind him leaving his podcast last month. Edge also delivered a spear at SummerSlam pre-show, which was his first physical involvement in a really long time.

Later that evening, Fight Oracle reported that Edge had been cleared by WWE medical staff to return to the ring. With WWE’s next outing in Saudi Arabia set to take place in four weeks, many believed that Edge will be competing at that event.

However, Edge’s tweet indicates that the reports are indeed false and the Rated R Superstar is happily enjoying his retired life with his family.

The WON also reported that Cain Velasquez‘s deal with WWE had reached a stalemate, and he was exploring other options like AEW and NJPW. This turned out to be false as the former UFC Heavyweight Champion made his debut on SmackDown, confronting his former nemesis, Brock Lesnar.

For all we know, Edge could be working the fans to keep this as a surprise. It remains to be seen if Edge is indeed returning to the ring. If it does, on that day, we’ll see clearly!
