Edge vs Roman Reigns Officially Announced for WrestleMania 37

Its official, Roman Reigns will be defending the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 37 against Edge.

Reigns successfully retained the championship at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Before he could leave the ring, however, Reigns was speared by Edge.

As the winner of this year’s Royal Rumble, Edge had the right to choose to challenge for any WWE championship at WrestleMania.

His actions at Elimination Chamber had many believing that he had made his choice and has decided to come for Reigns’ championship.

WrestleMania will be a two-night event held on April 10 and April 11 at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. The Reigns vs. Edge championship match is the first match to be officially announced for the event, though whether it will be on the 10th or 11th has yet to be revealed.

Edge has yet to hold the WWE Universal Championship as it was introduced in 2016 after he initially retired in 2011. He has, however, held the WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship multiple times.

Reigns has held the WWE Universal Championship since Payback last August. This is his second run with the title. His first run began in August 2018, but he vacated it in October when his leukemia returned.
