Elias and Bobby Lashley have had a number of issues heading into TLC ever since Elias picked a fight with Lashley on Raw last month. One of The Drifter’s biggest problems has been Lio Rush, who he went one-on-one with this week on Raw in his first main roster match.
Elias put on a fantastic show, but Bobby Lashley interfered in the match and new referee Heath Slater decided against disqualifying Rush, instead handing him a victory over The Drifter.
Last week on Raw, Elias attacked Rush with a guitar, since Lashley ran away and left him to fend for himself. The 205 Live star decided that it was time that he got his own back and attacked Elias with a guitar this week on Raw to secure the victory.
This is the main reason why Lashley and Elias will now collide in a ladder match this Sunday night at TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs since a guitar will be hanging over the ring and the person who unhooks the instrument will then be allowed to use it on their opponent.
Much like the usual “on a pole” match, it appears that WWE has decided to give the match between Lashley and Elias a new spin.
This means that there is now a TLC, Tables and Ladder match but there isn’t a Chairs match as part of this year’s show, something that the company usually enjoys adding.
It will be interesting to see if Lio Rush comes into play in this match as well since there are no rules in a ladder match so Rush can help Lashley in any way he requires and it will be completely within the rules.
