<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Impact Wrestling’s Eric Young has suffered a torn ACL, which could keep him from the ring for at least six months.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Young revealed his injury during an interview with the Wrestling Perspective Podcast. According to Young, he tore his ACL during the latest round of Impact tapings.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It was announced last week that Young will be <a href="https://api.wrestlingworld.co/news/james-storm-to-wrestle-his-1000th-match-on-next-weeks-impact/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">James Storm’s opponent</a> for Storm’s 1000<sup>th</sup> Impact match. This match is set to air on this Tuesday’s episode.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Young said the injury had occurred during the match with Storm and, while he was still able to wrestle on the next night of tapings, he will have to miss future shows to heal his injury.</p>



<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow"><p>“It’s frustrating,” said Young about the injury. “I’ve never been injured. I’ve been hurt lots, but I’ve never been injured.”</p></blockquote>



<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow"><p>“I have to have surgery in a week and a half and it’s going to be a long road,” he added. “I’m aiming for six months.”</p></blockquote>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Young said that, aside from the Storm match, he was able to participate in a Hardcore War eight-man tag and singles match with Eddie Edwards that will be airing in the future.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">He also hopes to stay on television as he believes he can contribute in a non-physical role.</p>
