Evolution Reunion planned for SmackDown’s 1000th Episode

SmackDown’s 1000th episode is now just over two weeks away and WWE is pulling out all of the stops to ensure that it’s one of most highly rated shows that SmackDown has ever presented.

WWE recently broke the news on Twitter that one of the greatest WWE factions of all time will be reuniting as part of the show on October 16th as Triple H, Randy Orton, Ric Flair, and Batista all appear for the first time in more than a decade.

Evolution briefly reunited back in 2014 when The Shield took on the trio of Randy Orton, Batista, and Triple H but were able to come out on top in numerous matches before Batista walked away from WWE and Seth Rollins then joined The Authority.

Batista has been making a name for himself in the acting world over the past four years but despite his earlier Tweets stating that he hadn’t been invited to the 1000th episode of the show, The Animal will be in attendance.

SmackDown 1000 will be live from Batista’s hometown of Washington DC, and he is expected to be greeted by a huge ovation from his hometown crowd when he makes his first wrestling appearance in more than four years.

This will also be the first time ever on SmackDown Live that Evolution has reunited as pointed out by Mike Rome in the announcement above and is sure to push ticket sales for the event in the coming weeks.

Rome also points out that this is just the first of many announcements that are expected to come regarding the celebration episode of the show which means that WWE has definitely got a number of tricks left up their sleeves.
