Ex-WWE Star To Return To The Ring, Lilian Garcia Talks About The Rock

  • Former WWE Superstar, Melina Perez will be returning to the ring to take on Shazza McKenzie on March 23, 2018 for Australian Wrestling Entertainment. Melina, the 3-time WWE Women’s Champion and 2-time Divas Champion has been out of the ring for about 12 months after dislocating her knee in an indie match in England in March, 2017. The professional wrestler feared that the injury would end her wrestling career.

  • In the recent installment of “Renegade Radio with Jay Ferruggia”, the first WWE Diva Lilian Garcia discussed about her career in WWE including her initial struggles about how she had difficulties getting along with female wrestlers, being subject to a Samoan Drop, singing in the U.S. National Anthem two days after the attacks of September 11, being part of the Attitude Era and also working with The Great One.

Lilian said,

“[The Rock] would always make me blush. And so, all of a sudden [WWE’s creative writers were] like, ‘Ah, that’s so cute. Let’s do that, let’s put her in situations where she would totally blush.’ And he would call me out sometimes at ringside, you know, and there I am and I’m just blushing,”

Garcia further added,

“So it just became fun and he loved working together and vice versa. I’m blessed, I’m blessed that I had that situation with him, for sure.”
