Finn Bálor Reportedly In For Big Push

Monday Night RAW Superstar and inaugural WWE Universal Champion Finn Bálor is in line for a big push, per Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live.

“He’s gonna get a big push because there are things in the works for Finn Bálor, but I don’t think he’ll ever be that Finn Bálor again on the main roster. I could be wrong, but he was a totally different guy last night. It was awesome.”

The Extraordinary Man made a surprise appearance at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool where he defeated his old student Jordan Devlin in a surprise matchup. Bálor received one of the biggest pops of the show.

Dean Ambrose Saves Renee Young’s Phone

Dean Ambrose made a quick save during his main event title defense against Seth Rollins last week on Monday Night RAW. The save wasn’t actually meant for himself; rather, The Moral Compass saved her wife Renee Young‘s phone while brawling with The Kingslayer by the destroyed announcers’ desk.

Ambrose broke character to quickly pick up Renee’s phone and tossed it to Michael Cole before Rollins could land on it.

Stephanie McMahon Wants To Headline WrestleMania

During the sit-down interview at CES 2019, WWE’s Chief Brand Ambassador Stephanie McMahon expressed her desire to headline the promotion’s biggest annual pay-per-view event, WrestleMania while talking about her dream match at the Showcase of Immortals.

“My dream matchup is the main event at WrestleMania, regardless of who’s in it.

“I think it’s gonna happen, but I also think it’s not easy.”

At WrestleMania 34, Stephanie teamed up with her husband Triple H to take on the debuting Ronda Rousey and then-RAW GM Kurt Angle.

Chris Jericho On AEW Contract

Chris Jericho is officially signed with All Elite Wrestling as was revealed at the promotion’s rally last Tuesday.

During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Y2J opened up on his AEW contract and what made him strike a deal with the hot promotion that is yet to take off the ground with a TV deal.

“As the past year progressed, going from New Japan to All In to The Cruise, and kind of seeing how life was on the other side, I realized, like The Young Bucks, like Kenny Omega and these guys, you can make a good living outside the WWE. Then when you have a billionaire getting involved, suddenly you have the biggest offer of my career — by far — I couldn’t say no. For the next three years, it’s AEW. That’s where I’m signed, and that’s the contract that I have.”
