WWE&#8217;s inaugural Universal Champion, Finn Balor, recently got married to his girlfriend Veronica Rodriguez. Balor posted a photo on Instagram, where the couple could be seen doing their wedding vows inside a jungle.



Balor accompanied the photo with a caption: &#8220;Welcome to the jungle&nbsp;#forevergang.&#8221; The former Intercontinental Champion is currently on a hiatus with WWE, after losing to The Fiend at SummerSlam.

Balor was rumored to be dating Rodriguez, and he confirmed their relationship in June. Balor attended the soccer match between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspurs and made his relationship with Rodriguez public.



Veronica Rodriguez hails from Mexico, where she works as a broadcaster for FOX Sports. Before the soccer match in June, Rodriguez was presenting live on television, when a drunk Balor appeared out of nowhere and kissed his girlfriend, making their relationship public.

A month after the couple made their relationship public, Rodriguez posted a photo on Instagram, with an engagement ring on her finger. Finn Balor dated WWE Now host Cathy Kelley earlier and broke up with her earlier this year.



Balor reportedly asked for some time away from WWE programming a few weeks ago, and it seems that marriage was the reason behind the leave of absence. Balor has not shown up on WWE programming since his loss to Fiend and could return around the time SmackDown Live debuts on FOX.



Finn Balor joined WWE four years ago and was promoted to the main roster during the Draft in 2016. He was quickly pushed to the top, as he defeated Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns within a span of a month to become the first-ever Universal Champion. He had to relinquish the title due to a shoulder injury and has never reached the heights of his 2016 run again.



Hopefully, Balor enjoys his time off and returns to the top soon.
