Finn Balor was in the main event of SummerSlam back in 2016 where he was able to become the first ever Universal Champion but he has been on a steady decline in the years that have followed.

Balor is scheduled to face Drew McIntyre as part of TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs, on December 16th, but McIntyre recently lost his first match on Raw since his return, which means that he will be on a revenge mission next weekend, since it was Balor who helped Dolph Ziggler to pick up the win.

Balor has been reduced to wrestling alongside Bayley or even working as Bayley’s manager in recent weeks since the duo are partners on The Mixed Match Challenge.

Over the past few months, it has appeared that WWE’s creative team has had nothing for Balor since he went from a partnership with Braun Strowman to a feud with The Monster Among Men and a feud with Baron Corbin, but he hasn’t been an active part of the feud between Strowman and Corbin, which many believed he would slot into.

Balor was recently asked about whether or not he should be moved to SmackDown Live as part of the next WWE draft when he sat down with Not Sam Wrestling and Balor responded that he would be happy to be wrestling as part of whatever brand he is part of.

“I take it as good news that I’m getting to step in a ring on Tuesday as opposed to not stepping in a ring at all. So honestly man, you could put me in a ring in a parking lot at Wal-Mart and I’d be happy.”

“Once I’m in a wrestling ring that’s all I care about whether it’s a red one, or a blue one, or a yellow one, or you know anything I’ll be happy,” he said via Ringsidenews.
