Finn Balor is going through a hard time at present. He lost the WWE Intercontinental Championship to Shinsuke Nakamura at Extreme Rules and was defeated by Samoa Joe in less than 90 seconds the following night on Monday Night RAW.
What’s more, Finn even turned out to be the first victim of the returning Bray “The Fiend” Wyatt this week on RAW.
Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that The Extraordinary Man recently requested WWE for two months off to “recharge” and the same was granted. Balor’s hiatus will commence in August, supposedly after SummerSlam.
The Irishman’s upcoming hiatus could be the reason behind his title loss at Extreme Rules.
Styles is the reigning WWE United States Champion and the way The Good Brothers are destroying everybody makes us assume that the bald bad duo is bound to become tag team champions pretty soon.
With Balor joining the villainous faction, it would be interesting to see what WWE has in store for him after his heel turn. It wouldn’t hurt to see WWE putting the Intercontinental Title or a World Title around The Extraordinary Man’s waist if all four members of The Club are to be draped in gold together.
Fans are currently expecting Balor vs The Fiend at SummerSlam although that would mean yet another loss for the 37-year-old Superstar.
Since WWE already gave us The Demon King a few months ago at WrestleMania 35, it’s better not to expect Balor’s alter-ego this time around at SummerSlam.
WWE appears to be tying the score between Balor and Wyatt before the Irishman leaves for holidays – The Demon defeated The Eater Of Worlds at The Biggest Party Of Summer last year, and that’s enough for The Fiend to go over Balor next month at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
