Fire and Flava, the team of Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz, are the first Impact Knockouts Tag Team Champions since 2013.
Hogan and Steelz squared off against Havok and Nevaeh during the finals of the Impact Knockouts Tag Team Tournament which was held during the Hard To Kill pay-per-view.
They won the match after Steelz was able to hit a fisherman’s suplex on Nevaeh to get the pin. Fire and Flava were presented with the Knockouts Tag Team Titles by legendary Knockouts champions Gail Kim and Madison Rayne.
This is the first time that there have been Knockouts Tag Team champions since 2013. The championship was first introduced back in 2009, with Sarita and Taylor Wilde becoming the first champions.
The Championship belts were deactivated back in 2013, after being held by Eric Young and ODB. The belts were only reactivated last year with a tournament announced to crown the new champions, which started back in November with eight teams of women and cumulated in the finals at Hard To Kill.
The Knockouts Tag Team Championship Tournament finals match also featured the return of referee Brian Hebner who officiated the match.
