TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs rolls into San Jose, California in just over two weeks time and it appears that WWE is ending the year the same way that they started it, by allowing the women to make history on pay-per-view.

It was announced last night on SmackDown Live that Becky Lynch would be defending her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair in the first ever Women’s TLC match.

General Manager Paige then decided to further shake-up this rivalry by adding the fact that the winner of the main event Battle Royal would be added to the match making it a triple threat.

Charlotte and Lynch have already collided in a Last Man Standing match, which saw Lynch come out on top but this could be another brutal encounter between the two women which will also see them joined by Asuka, after she was able to win another huge battle royal to guarantee her place in the match and one step closer to the Women’s Championship.

Charlotte ended Asuka’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania and she has been somewhat buried on SmackDown Live ever since, so it will be interesting to see how The Empress of Tomorrow reacts to her first gimmick match in WWE.

Lynch and Flair will need to look over their shoulder for Ronda Rousey throughout the match since the former UFC Champion will be part of TLC. Rousey defends her Raw Women’s title against Nia Jax but she has a number of issues to figure out with Lynch and Flair as well and the fact that the rules of this match would allow for interference mean that Rousey could get the revenge she needs in San Jose.
