Finn Balor, Tyler Breeze, and Fandango seem to have set a precedent in WWE after moving back to NXT and being able to find their feet as part of Triple H’s promotion. There have been rumors over the past few weeks that the likes of Kevin Owens and Asuka could be heading back to NXT in the near future, but it appears that the current RAW stars could have some company.
Cedric Alexander recently Tweeted out some new goals for 2020 which include being moved back to developmental, finding a tag team partner and then taking the NXT Tag Team Division by storm.
Alexander has been struggling on the main roster in recent months after being moved over to RAW as part of the 2019 WWE Draft. Aside from being part of the 24/7 Championship picture, there hasn’t been much for the former Cruiserweight Champion to do, so it’s understandable that he would want to head back to NXT and kick-start his career.
Alexander was part of the kickoff show at WrestleMania 34 and was able to lift the Cruiserweight Championship in that match when he defeated Mustafa Ali, but the two men have since had varying fortunes on the main roster. Alexander has proved that he has what it takes to be a main event star but WWE seems reluctant to give him the chance.
Alexander has had show-stealing matches against some of RAW’s biggest stars and at one point was even aligned with Roman Reigns, but this doesn’t appear as though it was enough to win over Monday Night RAW’s officials since Alexander is yet to be given a decent storyline as part of their flagship show.
Could finding a Tag Team partner be what Alexander has been missing or could he be looking for the fresh boost that a stint in NXT could give him?
