WWE veteran Kane is set to return to the Squared Circle, after almost a year away from the ring. Kane last wrestled for WWE at Crown Jewel in November last year, when he teamed up with his storyline brother, Undertaker, to take on Shawn Michaels and Triple H in a losing effort.

Kane is currently advertised for two live events at Bossier City and Lafayette on August 23 and 24 respectively. He is scheduled to face his former rival Braun Strowman at the Lafayette show, and his match for the Bossier City show is yet to be finalized.

There are rumors of Kane returning for a small feud with Bray Wyatt‘s new Fiend character. Wyatt has been taking down legends in recent weeks, and Wyatt going over Kane could help him fully establish himself in the WWE hierarchy.

Kane was elected as Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, last year and has held the post while occasionally wrestling for WWE and making other appearances. Kane is one of the longest-serving wrestlers in WWE, with the most number of appearances in the premier Royal Rumble event.

Kane could be returning for a possible build-up for the next Saudi Arabia show, which is currently scheduled to take place on Halloween. WWE has brought out several legends for the Saudi shows in the past, and Kane could make yet another appearance at this incarnation of the PPV.

Kane’s partner Undertaker also wrestled quite recently on PPV, when he teamed up with Roman Reigns to take on Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre.

Kane’s match with Strowman will be a revisit of their rivalry from 2017, when Kane returned to face the Monster Among Men and later challenged Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.

With age not on his side and a full-fledged political career, expect this to be one of the last appearances from the Devil’s favorite Demon in WWE.
