Zack Ryder is a former Intercontinental Champion in WWE but he was one of the names on the company’s release list back in April. Ryder was released along with the likes of Heath Slater and Rusev on April 15th and left his fiance Chelsea Green behind in NXT.
Now that the guidelines concerning COVID-19 are beginning to ease all around the world, it appears that many of these released WWE stars are looking to move forward in their careers.
Last night on AEW Dynamite, The Revival debuted under the new names of Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood in order to aid The Young Bucks and they could have a familiar friend in the coming weeks.
Ryder recently teased on his Twitter account that he could be the man to answer Cody’s open challenge next week on Dynamite.
Cody has already expressed an interest in having the former Tag Team Champion in AEW alongside him and this would be a fantastic way to bring another former WWE superstar into All Elite Wrestling.
It was revealed last night on Dynamite that Cody will defend the TNT Championship each week in an open challenge as part of the show. The former WWE star won the Championship at Double or Nothing when he was able to defeat Lance Archer.
