Melina debuted in WWE as part of MNM back in 2005 and worked for the company for more than six years before she was released in 2011.

In her time with WWE, Melina became a Women’s and Divas Champion and had a number of memorable feuds with Trish Stratus and Mickie James.

Her storied relationship with fellow star John Morrison came to an end back in 2015, but Melina and Morrison have been known to work together in Lucha Underground and on the Independent Circuit over the past few years, but a recent injury could have forced Melina out of the business for good.

Melina hasn’t wrestled for a number of months and has instead been limited to public appearances and meet and greets with fans, but as part of a recent Twitter Q&A, the former WWE star revealed that she wasn’t looking to make her return any time soon.

There have been rumors about Melina’s status for WWE Evolution in October since fans likened her style to current star Zelina Vega and hoped that this could lead to a future match, but it appears that Melina has moved on from the business.

“You’ve got me thinking but, I’m not coming back to wrestling guys,” she said via Sportskeeda. “No. Stop making me think about this stuff.”

“I don’t want to (return to pro-wrestling). I’ve got happier stuff, you know? I accept that my time has come and gone, I’m secure with that. I’m cool with that.”

Melina has been working on a number of projects outside of the business over the past few months.

So it appears that even though Trish Stratus, Lita, and Beth Phoenix have already been announced for Evolution, Melina joins a long list of names including Gail Kim and AJ Lee who won’t be returning to be part of the show.
