Four Superstars Pulled From ROH Final Battle PPV Due to COVID-19 Concerns

Wrestling promotion Ring of Honor announced today that there will be changes to the lineup of their pay-per-view, Final Battle, as four wrestlers set to participate have tested positive for COVID-19.

ROH’s official announcement states that former WWE star EC3, as well as Bandido, Flamita, and Kenny King have been pulled from Final Battle, which is set to take place on December 18.

ROH implements a “bubble” system for their tapings, where talents undergo a pre-travel test at their homes before they can travel to Baltimore. In Baltimore, they are quarantined in a hotel and tested again before being allowed to go to the taping venues.

ROH has stated that the four performers above “will not appear at Final Battle as a result of pre-travel testing protocols.”

“All four performers are doing well and resting at home,” reads the ROH statement. “ROH wishes them a speedy recovery and looks forward to their return to action in 2021.”

The company is promising an update to the final line-up of the card for Final Battle on the Final Battle Hour One.

EC3 had been set to face Jay Brisco in a singles match. Flamita and Bandido, with Rey Horus, are currently ROH’s Six-Man Tag champs and had been set to defend those championships against Shane Taylor & Soldiers of Savagery.
