WWE moves SmackDown Live to Friday nights starting next week and the blue brand is set to get a new name on FOX. According to several reports, SmackDown Live will be renamed to WWE Friday Night SmackDown on FOX.
FOX doesn’t want to stop there though, as they want one of the hottest commodities in wrestling, The Fiend, on FOX programming. Bray Wyatt‘s creepy Fiend persona has become a major hit with audiences worldwide.
Bray Wyatt is currently listed as a RAW superstar, and has appeared exclusively on RAW in the last few weeks. He did show up on SmackDown during his feud with Finn Balor, but ever since SummerSlam, Wyatt has stayed on Monday nights.
Superstars like Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, and Becky Lynch are already rumored to be a part of Friday Night SmackDown, which leaves RAW in desperate need of top superstars. RAW currently has superstars like Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, AJ Styles and Braun Strowman in the top-tier of its programming.
Wyatt’s popularity is no secret as videos featuring the Fiend have constantly topped the rating charts for WWE on YouTube and other video sharing platforms. Having such a popular figure will definitely be exciting for the FOX authorities.
Bray Wyatt appeared on RAW this week, attacking his former protegee, Braun Strowman. Strowman and Rollins clashed in a non-tile encounter, which ended when The Fiend hit the ring.
However, after the show ended, WWE made a major mistake with Wyatt’s exit. The arena was blacked out for Wyatt’s exit, but the lights came back a little bit early.
This revealed Bray Wyatt running on the ramp to make his exit, which was immediately noticed by the fans. There were audible laughs in the arena post this botch. There is also another report stating this was not a botch but intentionally done to portray that The Fiend is messing with people’s mind.
Hopefully, WWE doesn’t make such botches on live television!
