Goldberg Makes It Clear That Roman Reigns is “Next”

Goldberg was prepared to face Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania back in April before The Big Dog was forced to step aside because of COVID-19.

Reigns has since returned and become one of the biggest stars in the company in recent months, and heading into WrestleMania 37 in just five months’ time, The Tribal Chief may be in need of an opponent.

Goldberg recently appeared on WWE’s The Bump where he was asked about who was next. The Champion made it clear that he had unfinished business with Roman Reigns.

The former WCW legend stated that Reigns is still using his spear and he is yet to have the chance to deliver a spear to the current Champion.

“He backed out on me at WrestleMania. He stole my move, god knows how long ago. And he continues to perform it at a sub-par level. Let’s be perfectly honest, I’m the dude who delivers the spear and I don’t think that he understands what it’s like until I deliver one to him. So, Roman, it’s coming and I’m coming for you. I may be old, I may be gray, but I’m still Goldberg.”

With recent news suggesting that The Rock may be out of the equation heading into WrestleMania 37, could Goldberg be handed a second chance at Roman Reigns?
