Goldust has been sidelined for the past few months after undergoing knee surgery, but the former Champion&#8217;s WWE contract has seemingly expired while he&#8217;s been on the treatment table.



It was recently announced that Goldust would be facing his brother Cody Rhodes at Double or Nothing on May 25th and this is because his contract with WWE has now expired so he isn&#8217;t the subject of a no-compete clause.

According to Dave Meltzer of <a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label=" (opens in a new tab)" href="http://www.f4wonline.com" target="_blank">The Wrestling Observer</a>, Goldust&#8217;s contract ran out quite recently and he&#8217;s now able to make the move over to All Elite Wrestling and make his first in-ring appearance since surgery last year.

Cody Rhodes and Goldust have had a number of matches against each other in the past but it&#8217;s going to be hard for the duo to build up the personal showdown that they want without any television time. Hopefully, the duo is able to build the match up enough on Social Media so that Goldust can have the return match he deserves and AEW&#8217;s Las Vegas show is seen as another huge success.
