AJ Lee shocked the world when she retired from WWE back in 2015 as a three-time Divas Champion and the longest-reigning Divas Champion in WWE history just days after she and Paige were victorious at WrestleMania 31. In the years that have followed, Lee’s record has been broken by Nikki Bella and the Divas Championship has been retired, but her fan base has remained loyal and even called for her to make an appearance at The Royal Rumble earlier this year when the women of WWE made history.
Lee has written her autobiography entitled Crazy Is My Superpower, since her retirement and it was revealed earlier this year that her book would now be turned into a TV series which she will be an active part of.
My brain baby #CrazyIsMySuperpower is turning 1 year old this week! Celebrate by getting your hands on the brand new paperback edition! It has some fun extra content AND it's fun-sized just like me. https://t.co/reHOdFpniJ pic.twitter.com/lvzJkqnd4C

Lee and her husband former WWE star CM Punk have moved on to different careers outside of WWE since their respective departures which were more than three years ago and after Lee revealed in her autobiography that she had suffered significant damage to her cervical spine whilst she was working for WWE and this was one of the main reasons why she decided to retire so young.
Joseph Peisech mentioned on the most recent installment of the No Holds Barred Podcast that the former Divas Champion wasn’t expected to be one of the 50 woman field that will be part of the October based-event.
“No, AJ Lee will not be returning.” He stated via Ringsidenews.
Lee isn’t someone who was expected to return given her injuries and how busy she is outside of the company, but this is clarification that she isn’t going to be a surprise addition to the show in just over three months time.
