Free Agent Heath Slater, who was released by the WWE back in April, showed up during IMPACT’s Slammiversary event.
Slater recently made a one-time appearance on WWE RAW, but now seems poised to make his return to wrestling at IMPACT. He showed up at Slammiversary to cut a promo looking to join an open challenge to compete during the World Title match.
Slater, who was only called Heath during the segment, beat up Rohit Raju (aka Hakim Zane) after being informed that he had lost his opportunity.
Raju also made snide remarks about Slater losing to Drew McIntyre within seconds of challenging McIntyre on RAW. This prompted Slater to beat up Raju and throw him out of the Ring.
Backstage, Heath ran into his former tag team partner in the WWE, Rhyno who was happy that Heath was there. The duo were approached by IMPACT Executive Scott D’Amore who said Heath didn’t work there.
D’Amore ordered Heath to leave as they had a closed set because of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Rhyno caught up to him as he was leaving and said he would get things sorted and that Heath should be there on the next episode of Impact Wrestling.
