<p>Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tomohiro Ishii are the next challengers for TMDK (Mikey Nicholls and Shane Haste) NJPW Strong Open Weight Tag Team Titles.</p>



<p>Tanahashi and Ishii earned their tag team championship shot by winning a triple threat match against Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake and Zack Gibson) and TMDK’s Robbie Eagles and Bad Dude Tito at this weekend’s Capitol Collision event.</p>



<p>In the final moments of the match, Tanahashi hit the high fly flow on Tito which Ishii followed up with a sliding lariat.</p>

<p>Tanahashi and Ishii have never held tag team gold together, though they are former Never Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Champions alongside Kazuchika Okada.</p>



<p>After the match, Tanahashi and Ishii challenged Nicholls and Haste to meet them in a title match at Royal Quest IV. Tanahashi, who is also the president of NJPW, made the match official.</p>
