Whilst WWE’s trip to Saudi Arabia is still seemingly up in the air, it appears that the company has still continued to promote the show as though it is going ahead.
The card continued to be announced on Raw and SmackDown this week, even though a number of stars are unhappy about traveling to The Middle East but interestingly one former WWE star is looking forward to the trip.
WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan recently spoke to the Orlando Sentinel where he confirmed that he would be making the trip over to Saudi Arabia along with a number of other WWE stars.
“There are a lot of plans in the works. I’m looking forward to going to Saudi Arabia with the WWE, looking forward to WrestleMania — but yeah, we’re moving forward at a rapid pace. It’s exciting to have this opportunity again after all these years where I was there and gone,” he said via RingsideNews.
Hogan is a former World Champion and was backstage at Extreme Rules earlier this year where he was able to once again apologize to the WWE locker room for the historic comments that were leaked back in 2015 and forced his WWE release.
Many current WWE stars are not happy that Hogan is back working for the company, but WWE made the decision to reinstate the legend in the WWE Hall of Fame and it was inevitable that he would be making his return to the ring following this public movement by WWE.
Saudi Arabia requested a number of big names for the show, which is why the likes of Undertaker, Kane and Shawn Michaels are already on the card, but whether or not these stars actually make the trip is another matter entirely.
WWE has been scouting out other venues for the show since it appears that they may not decide to present Crown Jewel in Riyadh.
