WWE legend Hulk Hogan is finally set to make his return to WWE TV.
For the first time since 2015, Hogan will appear on WWE TV as he serves as the official host of Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on November 2, 2018. The announcement has been made official by WWE on Wednesday and Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet first reported the news.
Hogan’s name first appeared on WWE.com on the Superstars page for the Crown Jewel pay-per-view event.
The picture was soon taken down later in the day making it seem as if WWE was trying to have a brief idea of how the WWE Universe would react upon seeing The Hulkster featured for the show in the Middle East. However, a few hours later, the official announcement of Hogan playing the official host of Crown Jewel was made.
Hogan returned to WWE this past July prior to the Extreme Rules PPV after he publicly apologized to the entire locker room. The 12-time World Champion was also reinstated to the prestigious Hall of Fame.
Last week, Hogan had seemingly confirmed his participation in the Crown Jewel event during an interview with Orlando Sentinel.
“There are a lot of plans in the works,” Hogan said. “I’m looking forward to going to Saudi Arabia with the WWE, looking forward to WrestleMania — but yeah, we’re moving forward at a rapid pace. It’s exciting to have this opportunity again after all these years where I was there and gone.”
Given larger-than-life Superstars namely John Cena and Daniel Bryan have pulled themselves out of the show, WWE is firing on all cylinders to add more star power to Crown Jewel, thus the decision to make Hogan the host for Crown Jewel.
The global event also gives WWE the ideal platform to publicly bring Hogan back to the company.
