Humberto Carrillo Talks Continuing With College As An Active Wrestler, NXT Injury Report, Tony Nese Welcomes New Son

Humberto Carrillo Talks Continuing With College

WWE Superstar Humberto Carrillo spoke with Super Luchas recently where he talked about how he was still taking college classes even as he’s an active member of the RAW roster.

Wrestling Inc. published a translation of Carrillo’s interview with Super Luchas where he talked about how it was important for him to finish his studies. According to Carrillo, he still goes back to Mexico where he is working on getting his physical therapy degree. Because of his intent to graduate with a degree, he has even had to cancel some appearances at live events.

“I always had in mind that I should first finish my career, because in this wrestling we are aware that we do not know how long we will last. We don’t know how we are going to get out of the ring. This may not be forever, and that is why it is important to have professional support. The fight is for some a hobby, but for me it is a passion. And yet it is very important to always be backed by something else,” he said about his degree.

Two NXT Stars Reported Injured

According to the latest WWE NXT Injury Report by Matt Camp, two NXT superstars suffered injuries during the interbrand altercations with RAW and SmackDown. Undisputed Era member and one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions Bobby Fish and Forgotten Son member Wesley Black both suffered facial injuries but are not expected to miss ring time.

During a match on NXT against The Revival, Fish ended up with nose and face lacerations. Fish, who is expected to compete on both Takeover: WarGames and Survivor Series, is going to be following up on his injuries with a plastic surgeon. He is, however, cleared to compete this weekend.

Blake also suffered facial lacerations. He was injured during a match with RAW’s The Viking Raiders. He will be consulting with a doctor but will not be missing ring time.
