Impact Sacrifice Main Event Reportedly Set to Continue AEW/Impact Collaboration

Impact Wrestling is set to hold their Sacrifice event on Saturday, March 13, and the main event is expected to feed into the current AEW/Impact crossover storyline.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the main event of Sacrifice will feature Impact World Champion Rich Swann vs. Moose. Though there has yet to be an official announcement of the match, Meltzer is reporting that it has already been taped.

Swann vs. Moose was taped during Impact’s early-February tapings. Swann will pick up the win and retain his championship and gain the TNA title that Moose has been claiming to hold.

The Sacrifice event is going to air exclusively on Impact plus.

Swann’s Sacrifice win will set up a match with AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. This is meant to play into the angle that Omega is a “belt collector”. The Omega vs. Swann match will be held at the Rebellions pay-per-view.

Swann and Omega have clashed on Impact before. Omega and the current Impact Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows) took on Swann, Moose, and Chris Sabin last January at Hard to Kill. Omega and his allies were victorious over Swann and his allies.
