At the end of this week’s Impact, Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore stated that there would be a change to the Impact World Championship match announced for Sacrifice.

The Sacrifice pay-per-view this Saturday was to feature current Impact World Champion Rich Swann defending against Moose, the holder of the newly reinstated TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

The match will now be a unification match for both the Impact World Championship and the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Not only will the winner of the match on Sacrifice hold both titles, but they will also get the chance to add a third belt to their collection.

The winner of the Sacrifice championship match will main event the next Impact pay-per-view, Rebellion, on April 24, and will face AEW World Champion Kenny Omega in a Title vs. Title Match.

It should be noted that, after D’Amore made the announcements about Sacrifice and Rebellion, he was shown talking to Omega’s ally and mentor Don Callis who in turn was talking to Omega on the phone.

Callis told Omega that their plan was going as they wanted before the show went off the air. Omega had previously talked about wanting to be a “belt collector”.
