WWE had quite a few injured superstars at the end of 2018, but with the likes of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens ready to make their return ahead of Royal Rumble. It appears that this could be a sign of things to come, since there are many other stars looking to return to the ring in time for WrestleMania season.
One star that hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since the summer is former SmackDown Tag Team Champion Erick Rowan, who suffered a torn tricep in his match at SummerSlam where he was defending his Tag Team Championships alongside Luke Harper against The New Day.
Rowan has been sidelined ever since and has needed to undergo surgery, but the positive news is that he has been spotted at the Performance Center which means that the road to recovery has officially begun for the former Wyatt Family member.
PWInsider reports that Rowan was spotted at the Performance Center in Orlando yesterday which means that he could be factored into a few future plans when it comes to the SmackDown Tag Team Championships, the titles that he never actually gained his rematch for.
Luke Harper has been on the sidelines over the past few months as well, after he reportedly suffered an injury to his wrist that required surgery. This could mean that WWE is looking for both Harper and Rowan to make their return at the same time.
There was speculation in the later months of the year that stated that The Wyatt Family could be making their return, which would be a fantastic way for the company to bring Bray Wyatt back to TV, since he has also been sidelined since August.
