It was earlier speculated that Dean Ambrose might make a huge return at SummerSlam in August but it now appears that The Lunatic Fringe may not be ready in time for the biggest show of summer.

Ambrose has been out of action since December, 2017 with a triceps tear. His recovery is going well and he was seen at the Performance Center a couple of weeks ago. However, it is still unknown if he was at the Performance Center for therapy or if he was working out in-between the ropes. If Ambrose was working out in the ring, then it’s a major indication that he is returning to action soon.

Seth Rollins opened up on Ambrose’s current status during an interview with App.com. The immediate-ex WWE Intercontinental Champion Rollins said,

“Dean’s good, man, he’s on the mend,” Rollins said. “He’s on his way back. Hopefully sometime before the end of the year we’ll see Dean Ambrose on WWE television again.”

The last update on Ambrose stated that he would be back in late August or early September. At the time Ambrose went down with the injury, the return timetable given for him was 9 months.
