<p>The Shield appeared as a trio for the final time last night in Moline when they defeated the team of Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre, and Baron Corbin, but ahead of their match, WWE presented a SmackDown exhibition match as Finn Balor defended his Intercontinental Championship against another new SmackDown recruit in Elias.</p>



<p>It was a match that had a lot of pace and it was hard to focus with the announce team right at the side of the ring, but it wasn&#8217;t until the end came that it was made obvious that the finish was botched. Balor was supposed to pin Elias off a Sunset Flip, but the referee refused to count the three because one of The Drifter&#8217;s shoulders was reportedly up.</p>

<p>Balor was then forced to deliver an Oklahoma Roll and pick up the victory just seconds later. The fact that there were two pins in quick succession proves that this was obviously a botch and it&#8217;s something that Mike Johnson of <a href="http://www.pwinsider.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label=" (opens in a new tab)">PWInsider Elite Audio</a> recently brought to light as well.</p>
