Jeff Hardy has been arrested for DUI for the second time this year.
Earlier this July, Jeff was arrested for public intoxication in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Now, it has been reported that he was arrested again on Thursday (October 3), in Moore County, North Carolina for driving while impaired.
Jeff’s arrest was confirmed by the Moore County Police Department. According to the police, he was subsequently released buy declined to provide additional information as it was an ongoing investigation.
Jeff’s brother Matt Hardy has since spoken about the news of his brother’s arrest on his Twitter account. Matt stated that he was Tweeting in response to the many inquiries he had been receiving about Jeff.
According to Matt, he loves his brother and has talked to him about his problems. However, in the end, his brother’s decisions are his own.
“Jeff has to make his decisions about his life,” wrote Matt.
“I have to focus on my 2 boys & soon to arrive son,” continues Matt. “I can only control MU actions.”
WWE has also commented, given what is becoming their usual statement with regards to incidents like this.
“Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions,” stated the WWE.
Jeff has been absent from WWE since April with a leg injury. He went in for knee surgery in May and at that time his recovery and return were placed at 6 to 9 months.
Despite how great Jeff is in the ring, it’s undeniable that he has had trouble with both drugs and alcohol that have set back his career. He had two Wellness Policy violations during his previous run with WWE back in 2006-2009. He was also charged with a DWI back in March 2018.
