Jeff Hardy made his much-awaited return from injury during the WrestleMania season, and after weeks of video packages, the younger Hardy brother had a major impact on the blue brand and won the Intercontinental Championship.
Jeff’s contract was extended by WWE due to his time-out from injuries and other incidents, while Matt Hardy left for AEW earlier this year.
Jeff returned to WWE alongside his brother at WrestleMania 33, after several years in TNA and other independent promotions.
However, it seems like the former WWE Champion has put pen to the paper, and had one specific request before signing a new contract.
Hardy wanted his old theme ‘No More Words’ to return once the crowd is back on WWE shows, which was a key factor in the new deal, according to Hardy’s latest interview with BT Sport.
“No More Words — when we get back in front of crowds again, that was a part of me re-signing because if we get back in front of people again I’d like to use No More Words again because I know y’all own it.”
“So that was the deal with me re-signing. So, that’s gonna be the ticket, man that’s going to boost me even more. To hear that music again, because I think the Hardy Boyz music is just for Matt and Jeff Hardy and not Jeff Hardy.”
It was revealed earlier that Hardy’s theme song will be making a return once the crowd returns. However, forcing WWE to use his old entrance music in exchange for a new contract is quite a bold move from the Charismatic Enigma.
