WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is high on the rivalry between the current WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. So high that, if it were up to him, that match would be the main event of the first all-women’s pay-per-view Evolution.
WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross recently devoted his The Ross Report podcast towards his thoughts about the Evolution pay-per-view.
In his podcast, he talked a lot about the program between Lynch and Flair, which he calls the best angle currently on SmackDown Live.
Ross praises the work of the two women and goes on to compare their current feud with another legendary feud between two Hall of Famers: Dusty Rhodes and Ric Flair.
“I would pick Charlotte and Becky to close the show in spectacular fashion with death defying athleticism and physicality,” stated Ross.
“I just believe they have great chemistry. They have that great rivalry. Its great stuff folks. Enjoy it while it’s here, while it’s going on,” he added.
Ross also gave his opinion on what match should be the one to open the show. According to Ross, it should be the tag match between the Hall of Famers Trish Stratus and Lita and Alexa Bliss and Mickie James. [Alexa is reportedly out of action due to an injury and has been replaced by Alicia Fox.]
“I’d open the show, I think, with the tag match, Lita and Trish against Alexa Bliss and Mickie James because there is a lot of star power and it gets people emotionally invested early! That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.”
Lynch and Flair will clash over the SmackDown Women’s Championship for the fifth time on Evolution in a Last Woman Standing match.
