Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart is seen as a legend in the eyes of many of the WWE Universe and it was confirmed earlier today by WWE that the father of former Divas Champion Natalya had passed away at the age of 63.

Natalya and her father have been seen on Total Divas over the past few years where Nattie has been trying her best to help her mother to look after her father and boost him into a much more healthy lifestyle.

There was a time when Jim was one half of The Heart Foundation, a group with his brother in law Bret Hart that was managed by Jimmy Hart (who was no relation).

Neidhart married into the legendary Hart family back in 1985 when he met Ellie, who’s Natalya’s mother, and has since been seen as one of the most iconic members of the family alongside Bret and Owen.

There were rumors online for most of the day that Neidhart had passed away this morning, even though a cause of death was not officially released. WWE only confirmed his passing in the last hour and have been swamped with tributes from fans ever since.

Natalya is currently part of the storyline with Ronda Rousey heading into her match for the RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam but it is expected that Natalya won’t be on WWE TV for a while following her father’s passing and may not appear at SummerSlam either.

Neidhart spoke out about the fact that he hadn’t been put into the WWE Hall of Fame last year and following his passing WWE may finally put the former Tag Team Champion into the WWE Hall of Fame where he belongs.

Jim’s brother in law Bret Hart tweeted the following after the news was publically confirmed.
