John Cena officially returns to WWE just a couple of weeks from now on the February 28th episode of Friday Night SmacKDown.

The big announcement was made during WWE Backstage earlier today.

The show will emanate from the TD Garden in Cena’s hometown of Boston, Massachusetts.

The 16-time World Champion wrestled for the last time on the January 14th (2019) episode of RAW where he lost to Finn Balor in a Fatal 4-Way Match to determine the #1 Contender for the Universal Championship at Royal Rumble.

Cena returned at WrestleMania 35 reprising his iconic Doctor of Thuganomics gimmick. Although he shared the ring with Elias in a non-wrestling capacity, the segment closed with The Champ dropping The Drifter with a Five Knuckle Shuffle and F-U/Attitude Adjustment.

In July, The Franchise Player returned one last time to kick-off the special RAW Reunion episode.

Cena recently discussed his WrestleMania 36 status and rumors suggest that the multi-time World Champion could be returning for a singles match at this year’s Showcase Of Immortals for the first time since his squash encounter with The Undertaker in New Orleans.
