16-time World Champion John Cena has been all-Hollywood so far in 2018 and has made only a few appearances on WWE TV. It appears that Cena’s tenure in the pro-wrestling business is winding down, however The Champ still aims to wrestle whenever his busy schedule permits.

Cena recently announced on Twitter that he would be wrestling at the WWE Live Event in Shanghai, China that takes place on September 1, 2018. That would mark his first match since the Greatest Royal Rumble in late April where he defeated Triple H via pinfall.

Ronda Rousey, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman and Finn Balor are some of the other top Superstars advertised for the Shanghai show.

At this point, Cena isn’t booked for SummerSlam which means that he would not be a part of this year’s “Biggest Show Of Summer”. It seems that the rumored rematch between Cena and The Undertaker at SummerSlam isn’t going to happen.

The Leader of Cenation is also booked for the Super Show-Down Pay-Per-View that is scheduled to take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia on October 6, 2018.

Apart from a string of media appearances and movie shoots, Cena was engaged in a very public on-again-off-again relationship with 2-time WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella until recently. A few days ago, Bella officially issued a statement saying that she and Cena are through.

Cena and Bella split in January, 2018 and that was filmed on Total Bellas to which the former couple explained that the first breakup was followed by a second breakup in April that wasn’t filmed on the show.

The breakup in April was what officially marked the end of their 6-year long relationship. Nikki also called off her wedding that was to take place on May 5, 2018.

It would be interesting to see what happens in the coming months when the next season of Total Bellas airs on the E! Network.
