Jon Moxley Attacks KENTA at NJPW Strong

Former AEW World Champion and current IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley made a surprise appearance at NJPW Strong: Lion’s Break Contender event.

Moxley made his appearance after the main event, which was a six-man tag match in which his rival KENTA was involved.

KENTA, as part of the Bullet Club with El Phantasmo and Hikuleo, faced off in a losing effort against Lio Rush, TJP, and Fred Rosser. This was former WWE NXT Cruiserweight Champion Rush’s debut on NJPW Strong.

After the match, Moxley appeared to lay out the Bullet Club and confront KENTA.

KENTA holds a briefcase that entitles him to an IWGP United States Championship match and has been calling Moxley out.

Moxley told KENTA that he would see him in Tokyo “one of these days.”

“However we gotta get it done, we’ll get it done,” concluded Moxley.

Moxley won the IWGP United States Championship in January 2020 at Wrestle Kingdom 14 from Lance Archer, who is now in AEW.

KENTA won the New Japan Cup USA tournament back in August which gave him the right to challenge for the championship, but a clash between the two has yet to happen due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
