Jon Moxley (formerly WWE&#8217;s Dean Ambrose) is enjoying his profession once again. He is currently signed to AEW under a whopping $6 million/year deal and is also taking bookings outside the new company.



Moxley&#8217;s recent AEW debut at Double Or Nothing has proved that WWE isn&#8217;t the be all and end all anymore &#8211; in fact, wrestlers can indeed pursue a career outside WWE and the billion-dollar promotion is way behind AEW when it comes to treating talents the way they should be.

While luck has definitely played a big role in Moxley&#8217;s post-WWE endeavors, the same cannot be said about ex-Superstar and longest reigning WWE Champion of The Modern Era CM Punk.

During a recent interview with <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://25yearslatersite.com/2019/06/01/jon-moxley-has-a-lot-to-say-on-wwe-aew-japan-the-indys-more/" target="_blank">25yearslatersite</a>, Moxley compared his departure to that of Punk.

Punk left WWE in 2014 on bad terms and the promotion turned things even bitter by handing him his release on his wedding day. Thereafter, the Second City Saint developed a sour taste for wrestling and pursued a career in UFC which unfortunately turned out to be a disaster.

While Punk&#8217;s WWE exit resulted in him closing the door on pro wrestling, Moxley&#8217;s departure has done the exact opposite by helping him revive his love for the sport.
