The Shield were once the most dominant force in WWE until Seth Rollins was drawn to the dark side by Triple H and The Authority and exactly five years ago this week he decided to turn on his brothers. The years that followed saw Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins have one of the greatest feuds in WWE history before Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins followed suit.



Last year the duo were able to reunite the night after SummerSlam for what was a fantastic run that was a long time coming, but following his departure from WWE, Jon Moxley appeared on<a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label=" Wade Keller's Pro Wrestling Podcast (opens in a new tab)" href="https://www.pwtorch.com/site/2019/06/02/free-podcast-6-2-wkpwp-interview-jon-moxley-a-k-a-dean-ambrose-pt-2-of-2-the-story-behind-brock-vs-ambrose-at-wm-stone-cold-podcast-shield-reunions-120-min/" target="_blank"> Wade Keller&#8217;s Pro Wrestling Podcast </a>where he was able to reveal that The Shield should have reunited at SummerSlam but Brock Lesnar changed the plan.

Lesnar reportedly showed up hours before the show and decided to change all of the plans which then left Ambrose out of the main event, which probably added more fuel to the heat between the two men that stemmed from WrestleMania 32.
