Jordan Devlin will be returning to WWE TV on the next episode of NXT UK.
Devlin is either the current or the “former” NXT Cruiserweight Champion, depending on who you talk to.
He won the title back in January but was “forced” to vacate it back in April when travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic meant that he couldn’t defend his title on NXT.
WWE instead held an Interim Cruiser Weight Championship tournament which was eventually won by Santos Escobar.
Both Devlin and Escobar are listed as “NXT Cruiserweight Champion” on the WWE website. Both men are insisting that they are the “real” Cruiserweight Champion, however.
Last Week Devlin released a video where he held his “original” title belt and called Escobar’s title a “replica”.
Escobar, in the meantime, has been defending his Championship, not just online, but in the ring as well. He recently retained the title against Isaiah “Swerve” Scott on NXT TakeOver 31.
Currently, there is no word on what Devlin will be doing on NXT UK but it’s thought that this is a signal that he will be returning to in-ring competition. When he will be able to travel and compete in the US, however, is still up in the air.
