In September, Mayor Of Knox County, Glenn Jacobs re-emerged under his Kane persona to rescue then-Universal Championship Seth Rollins from a brutal beatdown but was eventually attacked by “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. Four months later, the Devil’s Favorite Demon is on his way back to SmackDown, just ahead of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
WWE has already teased a Royal Rumble appearance for Kane in their official statement. Let’s see what kind of segment WWE has planned for the Big Red Machine this Friday night on SmackDown.
“Former WWE Champion and current Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, Kane makes his return to SmackDown this Friday for a special appearance.”
“The Big Red Machine has competed in more Royal Rumble matches and has more eliminations than any Superstar in WWE history, and with the match on the horizon, could Kane be ready to make history once again?”
Elias has been a hot act, both as a babyface and heel, and WWE has no intention of letting him go anytime soon.
During The Satin Sheet on WWE Backstage, it was revealed that Elias has signed a “multi-year contract extension” with WWE. It’s seemingly evident that WWE has locked him to a 5-year deal.
The Drifter is among the 30 Superstars to participate in the Men’s Elimination Match at Royal Rumble this year.
Meanwhile, WWE just recruited six future Superstars to the Performance Center in Orlando. The Class Of January 2020 consists of the following names:
- Jake Atlas
- Mercedes Martinez
- Emily Andzulis
- Anthony Francis
- Zechariah Smith
- Sidney Bateman
The latest signees have already reported to the Performance Center this week. WWE has also booked Martinez for this week’s episode of NXT.
Hopefully, Martinez will enjoy an impactful debut on NXT; she’s already 39 and it’s in the best interests of WWE to use her to the fullest potential starting tonight.
