Two rather surprising talents who were let go by the WWE last week were Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. The two had reunited with another former Bullet Club member, AJ Styles, into a faction called The OC. There were even part of Style’s Boneyard Match against the Undertaker during WrestleMania 36.
Gallows and Anderson have made a name for themselves as a tag team and it’s likely that, wherever they end up they will still be a tag team.
As is the case with the rest of the released WWE talent, Gallows and Anderson are under a 90 day non-compete clause. Earlier this week, on Thursday, Anderson posted a countdown till the non-compete was over.
The non-compete clause should end on July 15 and there’s already much speculation as to where the two will go next. Some believe that they will be heading back to New Japan Pro Wrestling, where they were top talent before making the jump to the WWE.
Of course, there’s also a lot of talk that they might end up going to AEW, and Anderson’s latest Tweet is fueling that speculation.
Anderson Tweeted out to AEW’s The Young Bucks and another recently released WWE tag team, the Revival – now going by The Revolt.
Anderson indicated that he and Gallows would want to face both the Young Bucks and the Revolt in a triple threat match.
He also invited the two teams to talk about the match during the podcast he hosts with Gallows and NJPW’s Rocky Romero, Talk N’ Shop.
Gallows has voice his agreement to the match as has the Revolt’s Dax Harwood.
Harwood also made reference to the fact that Gallows and Anderson won a World Cup Tag Team Turmoil Match during WWE’s Crown Jewel event last October. The two earned a trophy and the title “Greatest Tag Team In The World.”
