Karrion Kross Vacates NXT Title, Fatal 4-Way Set for Next Week

Karrion Kross opened the episode of NXT this week with a huge announcement, as he relinquished the NXT Championship after suffering a separated shoulder during his title-winning match against Keith Lee at Takeover XXX.

Triple H announced the injury to Kross after the event, which forced Kross to vacate the title.

Kross, who debuted in NXT earlier this year, has had a dominant run, with wins over Tommaso Ciampa and Keith Lee. Kross is still undefeated in WWE, and the company had huge things planned for him in the coming months.

Kross vowed to make his return to NXT soon as the Doomsday will continue. Kross’ return to action is still unclear as there is no timeline provided for his return.

This is the second time the championship had to be vacated, after Tommaso Ciampa relinquished the title last year, after suffering a neck injury.

William Regal announced a Fatal Four Way Iron Match for next week, with four former champions competing for the vacated NXT Championship. Johnny Gargano, Adam Cole, Finn Balor and Tommaso Ciampa will be the participants in the Super Tuesday show of NXT.

It was announced last week that NXT will be pre-empted in-order to accommodate USA Network’s NHL Playoffs.
