The Forbidden Door between NJPW and other companies, as Chris Jericho called it, has finally opened, which will allow several superstars to make cross-brand appearances.
KENTA’s appearance on AEW Dynamite these last two weeks was the first of many, as former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada is all set to make his AEW debut.
Karl Anderson confirmed this on Twitter when he replied to a tweet stating Okada could appear in either Impact or AEW.
Anderson corrected the original tweet and said that the legendary NJPW star will be appearing in both promotions.
Okada’s rivalry with current AEW Champion Kenny Omega is one of the best wrestling duels in recent memory, and fans would be eager to see these two superstars go at it once again.
Okada has previously appeared in Impact, but his mistreatment by the creative soured the relationship between Impact and NJPW.
With AEW serving as the bridge, it seems like the two companies are back working together.
