Keith Lee made history last week at NXT Great American Bash, after defeating Adam Cole in the main event to become the first-ever dual champion on the black-and-gold brand.
Lee has struggled quite a lot to reach his current position in WWE, and he is not going to forget the ones who helped him along the way, especially Dominik Dijakovic.
Dijakovic and Lee had tremendous encounters on several NXT shows over the past few years, before Lee was pushed into the main-event scene. Dijakovic was left behind, but his talents didn’t go unnoticed, and he was rumored to be heading towards the red brand soon.
In a recent tweet, Keith Lee gave props to Dijakovic and predicted that the duo will be competing in the main-eventing of WrestleMania in the future. Dijakovic made his way out to celebrate with Lee after his win at Great American Bash, and the duo seems to be great friends outside the squared circle.
Lee is set for great things in the company, and him main-eventing a Wrestlemania event doesn’t seem too far-fetched. Even Roman Reigns congratulated Lee and challenged him to a match in the future.
Reigns, who has main-evented WrestleMania four years in a row, wants a one-on-one match with Lee. The duo crossed paths at Survivor Series, in which Reigns came out on top.
