Ken Shamrock Inducted into Impact Hall of Fame By The Rock, Wins Bound for Glory Match

Current Impact Superstar Ken Shamrock was inducted into the promotion’s Hall of Fame on the Pre-show of the Bound For Glory event.

Shamrock had made his name, outside of the mixed martial arts world, in the WWE and as we previously reported, had reached out to his “favorite opponent” from that time, The Rock, to send a message for his Impact induction.

The Rock didn’t just send a message, but he actually inducted Shamrock via video.

The Rock had high praise for Shamrock, saying he couldn’t have reached the heights he did then without Shamrock being willing to work with him and “boost his credibility.”

He thanked Shamrock, who was a veteran to his then “rookie” for being willing to put his body on the line to work with someone who was still just learning.

Other friends and co-workers of Shamrock who sent video messages for him during the induction were WWE Hall of Famers Bret Hart and Mick Foley, Bas Rutton, Ariel Helwani, and Chael Sonne.

During the Induction, Shamrock thanked his friends and family and sent a shout out to Vince McMahon for giving him a shot. Shamrock noted that his time in the WWE helped him figure out the pro wrestler he is today.

Shamrock ended the night with a successful singles match against Eddie Edwards at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view.
