Kevin Owens quit WWE as part of Raw this past week, but the former Universal Champion has still decided to look forward to next year’s WrestleMania and reveal who he would like to main event against given the chance.
Owen’s status in WWE is currently unknown, but if he was given his job back and WWE gave hin the opportunity to main event at WrestleMania 35 then he would choose Finn Balor as his opponent.
Owens recently spoke to CBS Local Sports where he revealed that his former NXT rival would be his dream opponent for the biggest show of the year.
“(Whatever) I would do would lead to me and Finn Bálor at WrestleMania next year, because he and I came to WWE the exact same time, he said via Ringsidenews. We didn’t know each other before we got there.”
“We became pretty close pretty quickly when we did get to the NXT Performance Center. He’s been my best friend ever since, so I’d love to share the ring with him on that stage in WrestleMania.”
Owens and Balor have collided a number of times throughout their time in WWE, with one of their best showing coming at Beast In The East back in 2015, when Balor won the NXT Championship from Kevin Owens in Japan.
Both men have had interesting careers all over the world and have found their way to WWE, but as part of the main roster, they haven’t been given the chance to work together on the biggest stage.
Many fans assumed that Owens would want to face Sami Zayn on the Grandest Stage of Them All since the two men have been fighting each other throughout their career but Finn Balor and Kevin Owens would be a fantastic WrestleMania main event.
