Dana White is a businessman and there is no bigger rivalry in UFC than that of Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. White wanted to capitalize on this rivalry and have the two stars as judges for the upcoming Ultimate Fighter.
Ali Abdelaziz spoke with TMZ Sports and revealed Dana White’s plans for Conor McGregor and the winner of Khabib-Gaethje to be the judges for the upcoming season of TUF.
“Last week Dana White called me. He said, Ali, what do you think if Khabib win, him and Conor do The Ultimate Fighter on ESPN? This is breaking news. I said, I don’t know, I’ll think about it.’And he said, of course, (vice versa) if Justin win. It would be Khabib vs. Conor on The Ultimate Fighter, coaching. It would have been f*****g huge. Probably would have gone to the hospital because he would have beat his ass and his whole team. Or Justin Gaethje vs. (McGregor)”
Originally the plan was for Costa and Adesanya to coach the season, but White was adamant about getting the stars from UFC 229.
He also revealed that Khabib has no intention of ever being with McGregor in the Octagon.
“He can forget about Khabib. He can forget about the rematch,” he said. “Done. Dead. Never. Khabib will never fight him.”
